Frequently Asked Questions

** Frequently Asked Questions **

There are a few questions that I often get asked, so I thought I'd answer them on here in case I'm busy when you contact me to ask (although I will reply to all enquiries within 4 hours).

Q:
Other photographers/companies don't charge a sitting/session fee, so why do you?
A: I do this simply to keep my product costs down. So while you pay a small amount up front, you don't need to worry about end products costing too much money. I want people to be able to afford all everything that they want to buy.

Q: When do I pay?
A: I take a small deposit upon booking (which is non-refundable but comes off the total balance), the remaining balance of your package/fee is payable on the day. I pay up front for all my products, and due to a number of uncollected orders in the last 12 months, I won't order anything until I've received payment.

Q: Do you do at home/outdoor shoots?
A: Yes! My lights are portable & I have a pop up reversible black and white background (although we can use your walls for a more personalised look if you choose). The lights do take up a bit of space so please ask for measurements before booking. Outdoor shoots can take place wherever you choose. Travel costs may be added if your home/location is more than 45 minutes drive from Keighley (BD21).

Q: Are you a modelling agency? Do you know any modelling agencies?
A: No, I am not a modelling agency, but you can use images from a session with me to apply to agencies providing you ask for permission first.
I do know of several reputable agencies yes, and I will be happy to provide you with their details after a shoot with myself, and beforehand I will be happy to provide general modelling advice to help you decide if it's for you.

Q: Is there a limit on group/family sizes?
A: No set limit, although the largest group I've photographed to date (Feb 2012) is 20, and I have a 25-strong group booked in for early March.

Q: Are pets welcome?
A: Most definitely! 7 days a week.

Q: Can I park nearby, and does it cost?
A: The building in which the studio is located has its own secure car park and also an overflow car park. Both are hidden from the main road, all cars and people entering are on CCTV and it's totally free.
